参考答案: Changing Criteria for Good Students
Years ago, good college students simply meant students good at academic work. On being admired into a college or university, students usually work hard just to be “on top”. Most of their campus time was spent in classrooms, reading rooms, and laboratories.
But the criteria for good students are changing now. True, good marks continue to be some students: dream, yet there are a growing number of students who are concerned much more about extracurricular activities for all-round development. They involve themselves in community services and activities. Some students even become campus “businessmen” or “businesswomen” by starting or serving in self-supporting businesses.
The changes are better and the time is different, and the job market demands personnel with varied skills. Therefore, the student’s today are, in a sense, better prepared for challenge and competition upon graduation.
