One day, in 2013, a news story caught the eye of Dan, s mother, Michaela, who then shared the story with her son. The story featured a five-year-old boy named Brecon Vaughan. 43 The boy's family had created a website with which to raise nearly $ 100,000 needed for a trip to the St. Louis Children's Hospitalt where treatment was offered that could help Brecon walk. In October, Brecon and his family traveled to St.Louis to begin treatment.
